    The 2025 report outlines key policies and actions to help cooperatives realize their full potential in supporting Member States to achieve the SDGs and the outcomes of the World Summit for Social Development. It highlights democratic governance, member education, and partnerships to scale impact. With the Second World Social Summit convening in November 2025, the report analyzes the role of cooperatives in poverty eradication, decent work, and social inclusion. It also reflects on activities for the International Year of Cooperatives (2025) and concludes with recommendations for reforming cooperative laws, integrating cooperatives into national development plans, providing targeted budgetary support, and enhancing cooperative training, leadership, and market access.
