During the 74th Annual Board Meeting of COPAC in New York, members appointed the International Co-operative Alliance as the next chair of the partnership, for a term of two years.
Members thanked the outgoing chair, the Food and Agriculture of the United Nations, for the contributions made during the two years of the FAO’s leadership.
The Board meeting was also the occasion for members to decide COPAC’s priorities for 2015 and a work plan to advance those priorities: the post-2015 development agenda, gender equality and women’s empowerment, statistics on cooperatives and the International Day of Cooperatives.
